Pecos Valley Equipment is currently seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to fill a dual role of CDL and Ag Service Technician. This unique position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys both driving/hauling and hands on technical work.
When needed, this position will be responsible for providing safe and efficient hauling of tractors, implements, and equipment based out of our Artesia yard. Driver will keep up with maintenance of the truck including but not limited to, pre-trip vehicle inspections, service logs, and keeping the truck clean. When not in the truck, this position will be responsible for tasks such as: set up and pre-delivery inspections and repairs.
A valid CDL drivers license is required. Mechanical knowledge is preferred and training will be provided on job duties and technician duties.
This position primarily fills an Ag Service Technician position. Driving will be on an as needed basis.
Our shop is open from 7:00 - 5:00 Monday through Friday and 7:00 - 12:00 on Saturdays. This allows for normal hours and minimal overtime. Benefits are medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as 401(k) options.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Must have valid CDL
- Self-Motivated
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspections or for customers/company
- Load/Un-load a wide variety of equipment/implements
- Good time management to ensure accurate timing and delivery
- Takes responsibility for personal safety and safety of others
- Knowledgeable and adheres to Federal, State, and local highway laws and regulations
- When in shop – help set up and perform pre-delivery inspections of new equipment and other varying tasks
